Sky Germany reports that Hoffenheim are trying to hijack Leicester City’s move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Adam Hlozek as they look to replace the injured Ihlas Bebou.
Bebou is to be sidelined for a number of months with a knee injury and Hoffenheim are now looking at a number of candidates to fill in for the forward. Bayer Leverkusen’s Adam Hlozek is one of these candidates.
Hlozek had been linked with a move to newly promoted Premier League side Leicester City in a loan move that if Leicester retained their top-flight status at the end of the season could rake in €20m for Leverkusen. However, Leicester had yet to agree personal details with the 22-year-old.
Since moving to Germany, Hlozek has struggled to gain or maintain a place in the Leverkusen starting 11 and had to settle with a bit part role in Die Werkself’s double-winning season.
Hoffenheim continues to have a terrible summer as moves for players collapse, directors leave and players get injured. At the weekend, Hoffenheim play Würzburger Kickers in the DFB Pokal.
