Speaking at his post-match press conference last night, VfB Stuttgart trainer Sebastian Hoeneß reserved special praise for the young Frenchman that has been a pet project for him since he first took over in Swabia.
French youth international and FFF Olympic representative Enzo Millot began thriving under VfB Stuttgart trainer Sebastian Hoeneß from the very moment Stuttgart’s current head-coach took the job. Since scoring his first ever VfB goal in Hoeneß’ April 2023 debut match, the Lucé-native has added nine more across all competitions. Millot added another tally and collected two assists in last night’s 5-1 romp over Dortmund.
While there was certainly no shortage of players that could have received extra praise from the Stuttgart gaffer following the BVB rout, Hoeneß made it a point to mention Millot at his post-match presser. Hoeneß correctly pointed out that the 22-year-old – who has increased his estimated market worth from €2 million to €30 million under his aegis – stood on the precipice of a major breakthrough on the global footballing scene.
“The lad is blessed with extraordinary gifts,” Hoeneß said at the presser, “He’s exceptionally good. We could talk about many today, but he really delivered something extraordinary. We all know the kind of form he’s in. He’s playing a great season.”
“Today, that was on a totally different level,” Hoeneß continued, “Today he raised the bar and I can talk about the “new” bar. He’s not just a good football. He runs. He’s aggressive in duels. He’s got a lot to offer and needs to be talked about.”
