Franck Haise provided a medical update on his squad ahead of OGC Nice’s encounter against local rivals Olympique de Marseille.
Haise, in a press conference attended by Get French Football News, confirmed that club captain Dante, now 42, would be out. “Dante is back in training. It’s the first time he has done so in a month, but he has barely trained in the past six weeks, so I’m not going to endanger him by putting him in too quickly,” said the Nice manager.
He also confirmed that Hicham Boudaoui would miss out on the game against Marseille, and whilst Tanguy Ndombélé is nearing a long-awaited return, he won’t be involved on Friday night either. There are then the long-term absentees of Mohamed Abdelmonem, who, in his return from an ACL injury, has suffered a separate calf injury. He is now expected to return to first-team training at the start of 2026, as is Youssouf Ndayishimiye, who also suffered an ACL injury at the end of last season. Moise Bombito’s return is also expected in 2026, but “not at the start” of the calendar year, Haise specified.
