Hertha BSC have apparently dropped their pursuit of French striker Ludovic Ajorque and are instead set to sign the Frenchman’s compatriot Wilfried Kanga. This is reported by virtually all German football media sources. The Young Boys Bern forward shall join BSC Young Boys teammate Jordan Siebatcheu in making a move to Germany’s capital city. Siebatcheu, the Swiss club’s lead scorer last season, joined cross-town rivals 1. FC Union Berlin earlier this month.

Kanga came in second in scorer points for the Swiss capital city side last year. In total, he has netted 16 tallies and registered five assists for Bern since moving from Kayserispor in January 2021. The 24-year-old has gotten off to a furious start this season in the Swiss league, scoring three goals and contributing an assist on the first two matchdays. German sources report that the French/Ivorian youth international is on his way to Berlin for a medical and that a transfer for a little under €5 million should be finalized soon.
