Héctor Bellerín is keen to stay at Barcelona and fight for his place in the starting XI, report Marca.
Last week it was reported that the 27-year-old could be heading towards the exit doors at the Nou Camp as he is not part of Xavi’s long-term project at the Catalan outfit.
Nonetheless, despite the rumours circulating that the Barça coach is considering to sign a right-back during the January transfer window, it is believed that Bellerín wants to stay at his boyhood club.
Even though he only signed a one-year deal last summer, the former Arsenal man is prepared to show Xavi that he deserves a contract extension beyond this season.
Bellerín has been struggling with a muscle injury, which has limited the amount of appearances he could make in the autumn. He hopes to come back next year stronger and establish himself as a regular starter at Barcelona.
