Bayer Leverkusen star Jonathan Tah has set his sights on a move to La Liga giants Barcelona next summer.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
The name of defender Tah has of course long proven a prominent one in the headlines in Barcelona.
This comes after the Blaugrana saw a late-window approach for the German international rebuffed by their counterparts at the aforementioned Bayer Leverkusen.
In the summer of 2025, though, Tah looks certain to be on the move.
The 28-year-old is due to see his contract terms expire at the end of the season, and has already made clear his intention to seek out pastures new.
Barcelona, on the lookout for reinforcements at centre-back, are in turn ready to reignite their pursuit following the turn of the year.
And interest in a joining of forces, it would appear, is very much mutual.
As per a report from MD:
‘The German international is determined to bet on Barça, with Flick as his greatest supporter, after both of them coincided in the German national team when the coach was the national team manager.’
