Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick made use of the opportunity to show his support for a sidelined member of the Blaugrana’s ranks on Saturday.
The player in question? Gavi.
Youngster Gavi is for his part of course condemned to a long-term spell on the sidelines once more at present.
The Spanish international has not taken to the pitch since all the way back in late August, after being forced back under the knife to resolve a knee complaint.
He has taken strides forward in his recovery efforts over recent weeks, but will remain unavailable for Sunday’s Spanish Super Cup final.
Ahead of the season’s latest edition of El Clásico, Hansi Flick therefore sent a public message of support Gavi’s way.
As showcased in the photo below, during a pre-match photoshoot held on Saturday, Barcelona’s headmaster held up a jersey with his sidelined midfielder’s name across the back:
