Barcelona are set to take on Red Star Belgrade tonight away from home in Champions League action as Hansi Flick’s side look to get closer to confirming their place in the knockout stage of the competition.
There isn’t much recent history between the two sides, they haven’t met in European competition since 1996, so Barça fans have been looking at how some of their stars have gotten on against the Serbian side.
Hansi Flick and Robert Lewandowski are two men at Barcelona who have a history of playing against Red Star, having taken them on in the 2019/20 Champions League group stage when they were at Bayern Munich.
As pointed out by Mundo Deportivo, The two men had a memorable night against the Serbians, as Bayern got a resounding 6-0 win against them with Lewandowski scoring four of the goals.
Barcelona fans will be hoping to see more of the same tonight, as Barcelona head into the tie in great goalscoring form of their own, having scored 19 goals in their last five matches in all competitions.
The Match is still up for grabs for either side, and Red Star have shown some spirited performances of their own in Europe, but Barça certainly have plenty of confidence heading into tonight’s tie.
