RB Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara will miss the start of the 2023/24 season.
The Bundesliga outfit have confirmed that the 25-year-old Mali international has suffered a muscle injury that will sideline him for “several weeks”.
Haidara sustained the injury during Leipzig’s final pre-season friendly against Las Palmas, which ended in a 3-0 win for Marco Rose’s side.
Die Roten Bullen will play their first competitive match of the new season on Saturday when they take on Bayern Munich in the Super Cup.
