Borussia Mönchengladbach will have to manage without Hugo Bolin for their Bundesliga clash with SC Paderborn on Saturday.
As head coach Alexander Blessin revealed on Thursday, the Swedish attacking midfielder is struggling with muscular problems following the two most recent games, a 3-2 Bundesliga win over Stuttgart and a 2-0 victory over Karlsruhe in the DFB-Pokal.
“Hugo has muscular problems from the two games, so he won’t be available to us,” Blessin confirmed.
The 53-year-old also announced that Kevin Diks will remain unavailable. Diks has missed Gladbach’s last two games for personal reasons and needs to regain his training rhythm before he can return to action.
“Kev is behind on training. I think he will be back against Hamburg,” Blessin said, referring to next week’s game against Hamburger SV.
Die Fohlen will also remain without Tim Kleindienst, Jan Leszczynski, Fritz Fleck and Enzo Leopold.
On the bright side, Isac Lidberg, Daiki Hashioka, Nicolas Kühn and Moritz Nicolas should all be available.
