The reported upon transfer of attacker Robin Hack to Borussia Mönchengladbach is finally through. The Westphalian club officially unveiled their new addition late yesterday. Despite the fact that the 24-year-old’s contract with Bielefeld was no longer valid after the club’s relegation, Germany’s “Sport Bild” tabloid reports that the DSC will receive a base transfer fee of €1.1 million. This figure can rise to €1.25 million if performance bonuses are met.
“Robin Hack is a dynamic attacker who already has a lot of first and second league experience,” BMG sporting director Roland Virkus remarked in a statement accompanying the signing, “His personal development in recent years has been good and we still see a lot of potential in him. We are therefore pleased that he has chosen Borussia.”
The Pforzheim-native himself expressed an eagerness to get going with his new club. The former Karlsruher SC academy man’s top-tier experience mostly came with Bielefeld during the 2021/22 campaign, though he did make three Bundesliga appearances during his stint with Hoffenheim between 2017 and 2019. In total, Hack has been deployed 33 times in the top division, netting one goal with the TSG.
His new contract in the Lower Rhein region runs through 2027.
