Newly promoted Serie A side Genoa are now in agreement with Tottenham Hotspur over a deal involving midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The Frenchman was loaned out to Napoli last season and while he did win the Scudetto, the 26-year-old could never become a regular starter for Luciano Spalletti’s side and had to come off the bench multiple times.
Yesterday, it was reported that talks between Genoa and Spurs were on for Ndombele. Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that Genoa have reached an agreement with the Lilywhites over a loan move but as things stand, it is yet to be ascertained whether the player wants the transfer or not.
To convince Ndombele, Genoa executives are keen on flying to London to seal the deal. But at the same time, they have identified Galatasaray’s Berkan Kutlu as an alternative. They have already sealed moves for Matteo Retegui and Ruslan Malinovskyi this summer.
