Gabriel Jesus signing date suggested as Tottenham rival Arsenal for Raphinha transfer

Arsenal are set to be one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs this summer as they prepare for the return of European football to the Emirates next season.

Despite being pipped to a place in the Champions League by rivals Tottenham there was plenty for Arsenal fans to be excited about last season and the summer transfer window could be equally as riveting. Last season saw Mikel Arteta splash over £140million on new recruits and we could see a similar outlay this time around, as the Spaniard continues the process of rebuilding the squad into one that fully represents his identity.

The Gunners announced the signing of Fabio Vieira on Tuesday, with the deal following the arrival of Marquinhos last week. Now, they’re looking to build on that strong start to the window by bringing in more recruits.

With that being said, here’s a look at the latest rumours linking players to the Emirates.

Gabriel Jesus date set

According to The Mail, a deal that sees Gabriel Jesus at the Emirates next season is set to be completed in the next 7-10 days.

It’s imperative that Arsenal strengthen the forward line and it’s looking increasingly likely that the Manchester City forward will be Arteta’s number one striker going into next season.

Spurs and Arsenal working hard for Raphinha

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal and Spurs are both working heavily on signing Raphinha from Leeds United and next week could be crucial in the player’s future.

Following reports stating that Manchester City have agreed to a £45 million deal for Kalvin Phillips, the West Yorkshire club are said to be demanding nearer to £65 million for the Brazil international.

Fofana interest

According to L’Equipe, Arsenal are interested in signing Seko Fofana, but they’ll face competition from Newcastle United.

However, it may not be easy to prise him away as Fofana prefers to stay in Ligue 1, with the report going on to say that Lens are looking for at least £26 million.
