According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Gabriel Jesus (28) is set to remain at Arsenal during the winter transfer window despite interest from other clubs. The Brazilian international forward is attracting interest from Palmeiras over a potential move back to his homeland.
Despite the interest in the 28-year-old’s services from his formative club, the striker prefers to stay in London and fight for his place with the Gunners. Jesus’s current contract at the Emirates is set to expire until 2027, but he doesn’t envisage himself leaving the English capital before then.
Jesus’ status has weakened at Arsenal
Following the summer arrival of Viktor Gyökeres in North London, the former Manchester City striker has slipped down the pecking order. In addition to injuries, the Brazilian has struggled to find real momentum under Mikel Arteta and has seen his opportunities limited as a result. The forward is yet to make an appearance this season.
