Füllkrug travels with team to Freiburg, Reyna remains behind

As is always the case when Borussia Dortmund prepare to play an away match, North Rhine Westphalia’s Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper has furnished a report on which players travelled with the team.

Niclas Füllkrug – listed as questionable with a thigh injury by BVB trainer Edin Terzic yesterday – has travelled with the team south ahead of tomorrow’s match against Freiburg. This is reported by North-Rhine Westphalia’s Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper. The “RN” also notes that, despite the fact that a reintegration into training left some at the Ruhr club hopeful earlier this week, American attacker Giovanni Reyna has remained behind as the team headed south to Breisgau.

Füllkrug’s starting prospects after the injury incurred over the international break remain unclear. In any event, the 30-year-old will be part of Terzic’s matchday squad. Reyna hasn’t been able to log any minutes in the young campaign due to an unspecified problem with his leg. The 20-year-old USMNT international remained behind to train with his German club during the international break, but must apparently still wait to make the BVB bench.
