Kicker report that negotiations are ongoing between Freiburg and RB Salzburg for the transfer of Junior Adamu.
The Bundesliga club would have to pay around €10m for the Austrian international but before an agreement can be reached, both parties continue to work on the formalities.
Adamu (22) has 14 goal contributions (10 goals, 4 assists) in 28 league games for Salzburg this season, his best campaign to date, which saw him become an integral part of the squad alongside Benjamin Šeško, who leaves for RB Leipzig this summer.
Freiburg continue to search the market for attacking reinforcements following the retirement of Nils Petersen. A move to Freiburg would see Adamu link up with two of his current international colleagues, Philipp Lienhart and Michael Gregoritsch, who have been ever-present for Christian Streich’s side this campaign and would help Adamu settle into the Black Forest.
Freiburg will be playing Europa League football next season after finishing fifth.
