FC Nantes are on the verge of securing the services of former Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier (33), according to a report this Wednesday from Ouest-France. The former Angers SCO shot-stopper would join Antoine Kombouaré’s squad as a backup goalie to France international Alban Lafont (25), although the latter had made no mystery he would rather leave Les Canaris. Nantes may dip into the goalkeepers’ market should Lafont get his wish.
Letellier spent most of his career at Angers SCO before returning to formative club PSG in 2020 as a third-choice keeper. The Frenchman was then behind Champions League winner Keylor Navas and Spain international Sergio Rico in the hierarchy between the sticks. The arrivals of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Arnau Tenas at PSG all but confirmed Letellier remained the third-choice goalie for Les Parisiens until his contract expired last June.
