Everton are considering a move for Burnley’s Maxime Estève (22), who is seen as a potential replacement for Jarrad Branthwaite (22), according to a report from Foot Mercato.
As per Foot Mercato, the former Montpellier HSC centre-back features highly on the Toffees list should England international Branthwaite leave the club during the summer transfer window. However, should they choose to pursue the France youth international, they could face some stern competition.
Many clubs have enquired about the centre-back, including Premier League rivals West Ham United. AC Milan have also made enquiries about Estève and have gathered a lot of information about a deal for the centre-back, however, the Serie A side believe that the deal would be too expensive.
The Serie A giants therefore have alternatives on their radar. Estève is expected to garner plenty of interest this summer after an impressive season with Burnley in the EFL Championship. Scott Parker’s side have the best defensive record in the division.
