Joaquin Panichelli continues to bang in the goals for RC Strasbourg Alsace. The Argentine has now scored nine in Ligue 1 since making the move to Alsace in the summer. His latest came in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over AJ Auxerre.
His prolific run of form means that Strasbourg are not missing club captain Emanuel Emegha. The Dutchman has hardly featured since his move to Chelsea was confirmed at the start of September. The centre-forward is currently struggling with a hamstring injury that he suffered during the game against Olympique de Marseille one month ago. This is his second injury of the season.
And as per a report from L’Équipe, a return is not imminent for Emegha. The publication understands that we will not see him this side of the November international break, and so we will have to wait until potentially the 22nd of November and a game against RC Lens to see him make a return to the fold for Le Racing.
