Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are showing interest in signing Manchester City’s James McAtee, according to The Telegraph and Sky Germany.
Both clubs are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing McAtee on loan with an option to buy in January or permanently in the summer.
Eager to bolster their options at the number 10 spot, Dortmund are understood to have monitored McAtee for years.
Leverkusen, meanwhile, see the 22-year-old as a possible future successor to Florian Wirtz, who is expected to stay beyond the summer but move on at some point.
According to Sky Germany, McAtee is unhappy with his playing time at Manchester City, but the Premier League giants are reluctant to let him leave this month.
The attacking midfielder is contracted to Manchester City until 2026.
