Daniel Dubois’ 3-Word Tweet After Knocking Out Fabio Wardley

Daniel Dubois delivered an incredible three-word social media post after knocking out Fabio Wardley in emphatic fashion.

Dubois and Wardley met again on Saturday after their Fight of the Year contender in May.

They went to war in Manchester as Dubois rose off the canvas twice to stop Wardley in the 11th round to win the WBO world heavyweight title.

At London’s iconic O2 Arena, ‘Triple D’ defended his championship with a remarkably one-sided performance. He dropped Wardley in the opening moments of round one before securing the finish in the second round.

Dubois went 11 gruelling rounds with Wardley in their first meeting but took just five minutes and 21 seconds to beat him in the rematch.

He was prepared for war and believes his opponent had ‘a lot of mental scars’ from the first clash.

Speaking in the post-fight press conference, Dubois said: “I was prepared for a war. Whatever he did wasn’t going to affect me. His punches, or anything. I was going to go right through him. I was in the zone. I refused to lose.

“You could see a lot of mental scars on him [from the first fight]. I just had to bring him back to that place.”

Reacting to Wardley using his own journey as motivation, the world champion added: “I know who I am, and I refuse to give up. The warrior’s mentality is always to come back. Try again. Try harder. Whether he does that, we’ll see.”

Daniel Dubois Goes Viral With First Tweet After Fabio Wardley Win

Before Saturday’s fight, Dubois hadn’t posted on X since May, when he beat Wardley in the first showdown. But he took to social media following his second win over his rival and blew up the internet.

He shared an image of himself landing a punch on Wardley, accompanied with the caption: “Dabbled in it.”

Dubois’ post is in reference to his hilarious fight week exchange with Wardley on Piers Morgan’s Uncensored show.

During a conversation with Morgan, Wardley brought up that Dubois played the harp, stunning the English broadcaster.

He replied: “I’ve dabbled in it, yeah.”

In another post on X, Dubois wrote: “Dynamite,” alongside a video of the destructive finishing sequence.

He improved his professional record to 24-3 with his latest victory over Wardley and faced off against former foe and IBF world heavyweight champion Filip Hrgovic in the ring.

Dubois and Hrgovic have already shared the ring, having gone toe-to-toe in June 2024. On that night in Saudi Arabia, Dubois claimed an eighth-round victory over Hrgovic. A rematch appears to be in the works, given both men hold a world title.
