The Champions League

Could Roberto Firmino be at Barcelona next season?

Roberto Firmino has been at Liverpool for eight years, playing 361 games and scoring 110 times. He is part of the legendary forward trio, involving Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, that delivered Liverpool a Champions League and Premier League.

Firmino has confirmed that he will be leaving the club in the summer and looking for a new destination. As reported by Goal, Barcelona have thrown their hat in the ring, and want to bring the Brazilian to Camp Nou. Barcelona are not short on forward options, but with the futures of Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres up in the air, and Robert Lewandowski being the only central man on the books, it would not hurt to bring in another option as versatile as Firmino.

Firmino is 31 years old, and in only 12 Premier League starts this season, he has still managed to score 10 goals. As far as backup options go, there are few better to choose from. The problem is that Barcelona must look to reduce their wage bill before looking at a player like Firmino.
