FC Bayern Munich have received a huge boost ahead of their quarter-final showdown in the Club World Cup against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday: winger Kingsley Coman will be fit and set to start.
Kingsley Coman will be fit and ready to start in Bayern’s crucial quarter-final game against his former team and current Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain.
The French international, who exited early from the Club World Cup knockout match against Flamengo on June 29th due to a thigh/hamstring issue in the 58th minute, has quickly recovered and will be part of the squad for Saturday’s fixture.
These are great news for FCB, since Coman has been one of the standout players of the Club World Cup so far: 2 goals and 2 assists mean that only teammate Michael Olise has more goal involvements (5) in the Club World Cup than Kingsley Coman – out of all participating teams.
Coman is expected to resume training with the team when the preperation for the game will begin. Jamal Musiala will also be back to full strength and most likely ready to start the match.
Bayern have played 8 games against Paris since 2017, of which they were able to win 6 and only lose 2. Coman is still remembered as the only goalscorer in the 2020 Champions League final between Bayern and PSG – him playing on Saturday would be a good omen for the Bavarians.
