Chelsea working on summer move for João Félix

It is looking like João Félix is finished as an Atlético Madrid player. His future will be (pending agreements) in England, at Chelsea, according to Matteo Moretto of Relevo.

It is not a definitive decision, partly because Atlético and Chelsea have not yet reached a full agreement on the transfer fee, and it remains to be seen what price Chelsea will pay, but the Portuguese has become a regular at Stamford Bridge in his brief stint at the club.

Chelsea are paying €11.5m for his loan until June and talks between the clubs for the player have already taken place as they look to the future.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly wants to build the future of his club on young and talented players and the American is reportedly a big fan of João Félix and his qualities, as is manager Graham Potter, who in seven Premier League games has started him seven times and kept him on the pitch for more than 80 minutes on four occasions. He has also started both Champions League games.

The Portuguese forward is happy in London, where he feels he can express himself on the pitch. He is also positive about the atmosphere that has been created within the Chelsea dressing room, where he was immediately welcomed. One of the team-mates with whom he has hit it off the most is World Cup winner Enzo Fernández.
