Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile is on the radar of Italian champions Inter Milan for the upcoming summer transfer window in 2025.
According to a report from Calciomercato. It, the Italian giants are keeping tabs on his situation and they could look to make a move for him at the end of the season. Chelsea paid around €38 million to sign the defender from AS Monaco in 2023, but they are now willing to sanction his departure for half of that. The report states that they would be willing to cash in on the 23-year-old French defender for just €20 million.
The asking price is quite reasonable for a player of his quality and Inter Milan should look to get the deal done if they are serious about signing him. Badiashile has struggled for regular game time at Stamford Bridge and he needs a fresh start. Moving away from Chelsea would be ideal for him.
Benoit Badiashile needs more game time
The French defender has struggled for regular game time and he needs to play more often. Sitting on the bench at Chelsea is unlikely to benefit him at this stage of his career. Inter Milan are undoubtedly one of the biggest clubs in the world and the opportunity to play for them will be quite attractive for the player. The Italian champions need more quality and depth in the side and the 23-year-old would be a useful acquisition.
There is no doubt that he has the quality to thrive at the biggest clubs in the world and regular football in Italy could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.
It will be interesting to see if Inter Milan step up their interest in the player and submit an official offer to sign him in the coming months. Chelsea will have to accept a substantial loss on their investment if they are to sanction his departure.
