Chelsea could move for Harry Kane in 2024 if Tottenham keep him

Chelsea will consider making a transfer swoop for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in 2024, according to The Telegraph.

The Blues know the 29-year-old has commissioned a new family house close to Wentworth Golf Cub.

The new home is in the west of London. It is just 15 miles from the club’s Cobham training ground. 

Kane and his family began the project some time ago, and contractors are now close to completing it. 

The Spurs captain lives with his wife Kate and their three children in Hampstead in north London, a part that is home to many celebrities and footballers. 

However, the couple wants to move as they expect their fourth child later this year. 

Interestingly, the new house is on the private Wentworth Estate and connects to the famous golf club in that part of Surrey. Kane is a fanatic golfer.

If the England international does not move this summer, he will be available for a free transfer in 2024. Chelsea will be monitoring his situation.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy does not want to sell the centre-forward this summer but risks losing him for free as the player has only 12 months on his contract. He can walk away next year.

Chelsea have not put an offer on the table yet, but it is an option they will definitely consider if he stays in England.

New Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino knows Kane from their time together at Tottenham. The Argentine manager could convince him to join the club.

However, there is still the possibility that the Walthamstow-born forward will leave Spurs this summer. Bayern Munich are in hot pursuit as they search for a new striker. 

Levy is making things hard for the Bavarians, who made two bids. Levy rejected both and is requesting at least £100 million to sell.

Also, the British businessman rejected an approach from Manchester United. The Red Devils had Kane as their number one summer target but have moved on to other names.

It is unclear where Kane will be plying his trade next season. But if he decides to stay and run out his contract, Chelsea will definitely evaluate the possibility of signing him.
