VfL Wolfsburg have announced that Koen Casteels will leave the club at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper’s contract, which expires in the summer of 2024, will not be extended.
“For me, the time has come to say goodbye after nine years at VfL Wolfsburg and once again take on a new challenge,” commented Casteels.
“I’ve thought about this step carefully and I’m looking forward to what’s to come. But now I will focus 100 percent on the current season in order to achieve the best possible with VfL.”
Casteels has played for Wolfsburg since 2015.
