Coming off an intense 0-0 draw with AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund will turn their focus back to the Bundesliga and head into Saturday’s home clash with struggling Union Berlin, who suffered their sixth straight defeat in all competitions against Braga on Tuesday.

After squandering a 2-0 lead to lose 2-3 to Braga in the Champions League on Tuesday, Union have now lost six competitive matches in a row, but BVB coach Edin Terzic knows that the German capital club’s recent results don’t reflect the quality of the team.

“The recent results have not gone in Union’s favor. But we know how strong they are. We’re preparing for the best Union Berlin we know and, as in the past, we want to find good solutions against them,” said Terzic at his pre-match press conference.

Prior to the match, Union Berlin coach Urs Fischer emphasized that despite their recent struggles, his players must go into the game with optimism if they are to get anything out of it.

“We have to go into the game with a positive attitude and the conviction that we can get something out of Dortmund,” said Fischer, who is well aware of the task ahead.

“We have our work cut out for us. We need to be compact and organized for ninety minutes.”
