After an exciting weekend of Bundesliga action, it’s time to take a look at our Team of the Week for Matchday 11, which you can find below.
Goalkeeper
Nediljko Labrovic, Augsburg
In the end, he conceded three goals against Bayern – two of them from the penalty spot – but he wasn’t to blame for any of them. In fact, he kept Augsburg in the game for a long time and ended up making a total of 11 saves in the match.
Defenders
Minjae Kim, FC Bayern
An incredibly solid display from the Bayern centre-back, who won all five of his duels, completed 96 percent of his passes and made two key passes.
Waldemar Anton, Borussia Dortmund
Returned from injury to make a huge difference at the back for BVB as they kept a clean sheet against Freiburg. Won six of his eight challenges and completed 91 per cent of his passes.
Marvin Friedrich, Gladbach
Put in an outstanding performance to help Gladbach keep a clean sheet against St. Pauli. Prevailed in seven of eight duels and completed 98 percent of his passes.
Midfielders
Antonio Nusa, RB Leipzig
Couldn’t save Leipzig from defeat despite being involved in three goals. Set up and scored in the first half before his cross led to Stanley Nsoki’s own goal after the break.
Nadiem Amiri, Mainz
As influential as ever for Mainz. Opened the scoring and hit the woodwork in the first half.
Felix Nmecha, Borussia Dortmund
Provides impressive cover behind the other four midfielders in Dortmund’s 4-1-4-1 formation. Scored a goal, won eight of his ten contests for the ball and completed 91 percent of his passes.
Granit Xhaka, Bayer Leverkusen
Leverkusen’s midfield linchpin played a key role in his side’s comeback from 0-2 to 5-2. He scored and provided an assist while delivering 93 percent of his 123 passes to teammates.
Adam Hlozek, Hoffenheim
Scored two excellent goals to help Hoffenheim to a 4-3 win in Christian Ilzer’s first game in charge.
Strikers
Harry Kane, FC Bayern
Scored a hat-trick to take his league tally to 14 in Bayern’s 3-0 win over Augsburg.
Patrik Schick, Bayer Leverkusen
With Victor Boniface out injured, Patrik Schick stepped up to make the difference for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring a hat-trick in their 5-2 comeback win over Heidenheim.
