Severe winter weather has reportedly forced the postponement of the Bundesliga game between FC St. Pauli and RB Leipzig, originally scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon.
According to both Leipziger Volkszeitung journalist Guido Schäfer and Bild, the match will not go ahead as planned.
Earlier on Friday, Hamburger Abendblatt reported that ongoing snowstorms made a weather-related postponement likely.
The local newspaper noted that a pitch inspection took place at Millerntor Stadium on Friday morning, with the main concerns centered on spectator safety, including de-icing the stands and the pressure on the stadium roof.
Official confirmation of the postponement is still pending.
