Serie A side Verona are set to lose a prized asset once again as Diego Coppola is now nearing a move to Brighton and Hove Albion.
TMW have reported about the Italy international’s future, after Alfredo Pedulla revealed late last night that a move is close to the Seagulls.
They claim that Verona will earn a fee of €10 million from the defender’s sale and a deal is set to go through. Pedulla had confirmed that the move will be done in the next 48 hours from yesterday and it does seem as decisive progress has now been made.
Juventus and Lazio were also quite keen on the rising star, who made his debut for Italy in their damaging 3-0 loss to Norway at the end of last week.
Coppola made 35 Serie A appearances for Verona in the 2024/25 season and impressed, catching the eyes of many – including Inter.
