Bild is reporting that Brentford FC are set to step up their interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Maximilian Beier.
According to the German tabloid, the Premier League club are preparing a bid worth a total of €70 million, with €64 million of that as a base fee.
If the report is accurate, the question is whether Dortmund can turn down such a staggering sum for the 22-year-old, who joined the club from Hoffenheim for around €28.5 million last year.
Aston Villa have also been mentioned as suitors for the German international, who watched Dortmund’s opening Bundesliga 3-3 draw with St. Pauli from the bench.
