BILD report tonight that Borussia Dortmund are interested in Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus. The 22-year-old is currently valued at €10m and can play as a false 9, where he has been deployed at times this season.
Kudus currently has seven goals and one assist this season for Ajax and will be hoping he can help Ghana at the World Cup.
However, Dortmund will only pursue the midfielder if Youssoufa Moukoko does not extend his contract. Moukoko’s contract currently expires in the summer of 2023. As reported at the end of last month, the 17-year-old forward wants a significant salary increase and assurances regarding more playing time – at the moment, discussions regarding an extension are on hold until the winter break.
A bonus for Dortmund is that their current talent manager Otto Addo is also manager of the Ghanaian national team, which may be beneficial when it comes to fighting off other clubs for Kudus’ signature.
