Borussia Dortmund interested in Verona’s Giovanni Simeone

German club Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in signing Verona striker Giovanni Simeone.

Simeone has been heavily linked with a move to Napoli in recent weeks, with personal terms already agreed and the player interested in playing for the Partenopei.

Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that Simeone interests Dortmund, who have heard some bad news on the Sebastien Haller front recently. The German club have made a rather important enquiry for the striker, who impressed for Verona during the 2021/22 season.

While Napoli are said to be well ahead in the race for Simeone, Dortmund are now also firmly in the running for the South American.

In the 2021/22 season, Simeone played 35 Serie A games and he racked up a tally of 17 goals and he also picked up six assists for the Giaolloblu. It was the highest goalscoring tally in a single season for the player.
