FC Bayern München confirmed the signing of two prospects from neighboring club SpVgg Unterhaching on Thursday evening.

FC Bayern München have paid a transfer sum in the low-single-digit million Euro range to purchase the rights to a pair of prospects from neighboring SpVgg Unterhaching. Sixteen-year-old Gibson Nana Adu and 18-year-old Maurice Krattenmacher will be reporting to the FC Bayern campus on the Säbener Straße this summer before reporting to other clubs on loan next season. Krattenmacher once trained in the Bayern youth ranks.

The 16-year-old Adu made 10 appearances for Unterhaching in the 3. Liga this year, becoming the youngest ever goalscorer for the club when registering a tally against Lübeck on match-day 33. The former Mainz academy man will be loaned back to the Munich suburban straight away. Germany’s Kicker Magazine reports that Krattenmacher – scorer of one goal and register of six assists this season – will be loaned out to promoted 2. Bundesliga side Ulm.

“These players with great sporting prospects,” FCB campus director Jochen Sauer noted in a statement, “[Krattenmacher] is technically strong, versatile in offense and not only dangerous on goal, but also always has a good eye for his supporting players. Gibson is both the youngest player ever to play in the 3rd division and the youngest goalscorer in its history. Both are representative of SpVgg Unterhaching’s good promotion of young talent.”
