Koen Casteels recently responded to reports linking him with Bayern Munich, saying he would be open to the idea of joining the German champions if their interest was genuine.

However, according to Sky Germany, Bayern are no longer interested in the Wolfsburg goalkeeper.

The report claims that Bayern were indeed interested in signing Casteels during the summer transfer window, but that their interest has since cooled.

Bayern ended up signing Daniel Peretz from Maccabi Tel Aviv during the summer to bolster their goalkeeping department.

Manuel Neuer recently returned from a long-term injury to take over from Sven Ulreich in the Bayern goal.

Ulreich, 35, is currently considered the second-choice goalkeeper and is said to be close to extending his contract beyond 2024.
