German giants Bayern Munich have sent a direct request to the club’s fanbase, ahead of their upcoming return to action on the continent.
Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern will of course act as hosts on Tuesday night, in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final showdown with La Liga leaders Real Madrid.
The matchup marks a special one for a whole host of reasons, chiefly in pitting two of the most historic clubs in world football against one another once more.
Heading into the tie, it is Real Madrid who are considered widespread favourites to advance, owing to all of their talent-packed squad, experience on the grandest stage, and significantly superior season to date.
Safe to say, then, that Bayern Munich will head into proceedings at the Allianz Arena tomorrow night in the knowledge that they will require all the help which they can garner.
In turn, some of the Bavarians’ leading stars have sent a message the way of the club’s supporters.
In an official release across Bayern’s social media platforms, the likes of Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Müller and Manuel Neuer have requested that the home crowd show up to the Allianz dressed fully in red, to build a wall of colour and atmosphere for Real Madrid to contend with:
