Bayern Munich have no intention of selling Lucas Hernandez to PSG

Bayern Munich have no intention of selling Lucas Hernandez (27) to Paris Saint-Germain next summer, in the wake of reports that the 2018 World Cup winner with Les Bleus had agreed personal terms with Les Parisiens.

L’Équipe reports this Thursday that the 2020 Champions League winner with Bayern Munich and PSG Sporting advisor Luís Campos had found an agreement in principle. Hernandez fits the bill of what PSG are looking for in the market. The former Atlético Madrid man is a French international in his prime years, despite some doubts surrounding his form following his ACL tear during France’s World Cup opener against Australia. Hernandez is also a versatile player. He can flourish in a left-sided centre-back role and fill in at left-back.

But there’s a catch. Currently, Bayern Munich have no intention of letting go of a player they paid a club record €80m to Atlético Madrid in 2019, L’Equipe reports. The Bavarians have even offered Hernandez a contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2027. Bayern Munich Sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić has said he would now be ready to offer Hernandez a three-year deal, in order to convince the Marseille-born player to stay in Germany.

The former Bayern and Juventus right-back is set for a tense transfer window with Benjamin Pavard (27) also entering his final year with the Bavarians, just like Hernandez. L’Équipe mentions that there’s no indication that the France international would like to extend his stay with Bayern.
