Three members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona have been nominated for the official La Liga Goal of the Season award.
The trio in question? Lamine Yamal, João Félix, and João Cancelo.
As much was made official across La Liga’s website and social media platforms on Wednesday evening.
Wide-man Lamine’s candidacy comes owing to his sumptuous strike against Mallorca in March, Félix’s courtesy of a moment of ingenuity versus Cádiz last month, and Cancelo’s through a jinking run and superb finish in a five-goal drubbing of Real Betis last September.
Also up for the prize, meanwhile, are the likes of Atlético Madrid frontman Memphis Depay, and Real Madrid talisman Vinícius Jr.
Voting is now open on the La Liga website, and will remain so until this coming Sunday, at 11:59pm. The award will be handed out at the La Liga end-of-season gala on May 28th.
