A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is expected to drop out of his country’s starting line-up for their next outing.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Lamine Yamal as the player in question.
The name of wide-man Lamine has returned to the fore in the headlines in Spain over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after Spanish national team boss Luis de la Fuente provided the bluntest of responses to calls for the 17-year-old to be afforded a rest for La Roja’s upcoming Nations League meeting with Switzerland:
“If we can’t play our players for 180 minutes in September… get out of here! We will do what we have to do. We have to represent our country, play the best players, and win to defend our prestige.”
And yet, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Lamine could yet be in line for a much-needed breather…
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, amid plans to shake up his XI on Sunday night, Luis de la Fuente is giving real consideration to dropping his star winger to the bench.
