Spanish football’s two biggest clubs have set their sights on the signature of a member of the defensive ranks at Premier League side Crystal Palace.
That’s according to ESPN, who point towards Marc Guéhi as the player in question.
England international Guéhi, for his part, is fresh off seeing a deadline day move away from Selhurst Park collapse at the last minute.
This comes after the stopper went as far as to travel for a medical with Liverpool, only to see Crystal Palace pull the plug on the operation after being unable to find a replacement.
And as alluded to above, as much could yet open the door for La Liga’s two most historic clubs to enter the fray.
As per a report from ESPN, citing information gathered from The Sun:
‘Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in reaching a pre-contract agreement with Crystal Palace center back Marc Guéhi after his deadline day move to Liverpool collapsed.’
