Baku linked with move to Italy

A report from Italy suggests that Torino could attempt a late swoop for Wolfsburg wide man Ridle Baku.

Shortly before the end of the summer transfer window, Wolfsburg could receive an offer for Ridle Baku.


According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino are interested in the 25-year-old wide man.

Torino’s first priority is to sign Brandon Soppy from Atalanta, but should they fail to do so, the Italian side could turn their attention to Baku, it is claimed.

In that case, Torino would reportedly try to sign the German on loan with an option to buy for around €7 million.

Whether Wolfsburg would be willing to let Baku go, however, is doubtful.

The 25-year-old started the first game of the season against Heidenheim and came off the bench in the 2-1 win over FC Köln.
