Sky Germany reports that Augsburg and Bochum are both interested in Wolfsburg attacker Maximilian Philipp who spent last season on loan at Werder Bremen.
Philipp’s contract at Wolfsburg expires in 2025 but it is increasingly likely that the 29-year-old will be allowed to leave early. Both Augsburg and Bochum have already contacted Philipp. The attacker is currently valued at €2m according to Transfermarkt.
During his loan at Bremen for the second half of the season, Philipp was only able to score once in 15 appearances. At the same time, his time at Wolfsburg has been equally as disappointing.
Bochum have been searching for an extra attacker in this window as they previously showed interest in Sven Michel, who moved to Augsburg from Union Berlin. While Augsburg they are clearly preparing themselves for the potential departure of Mergim Berisha, with the 25-year-old open to leaving the club this summer.
