Atlético Madrid have rejected an offer of €130 million for João Félix, according to AS.
Manchester United were ready to make a serious bid for the Portuguese forward, but Atlético told the Premier League side that João Félix is not leaving the Wanda Metropolitano this summer.
For Diego Simeone and for Atlético’s directors, João Félix is the most important player in the side and the one on which to build a winning team, and not only for this season.
João Félix is very happy in Madrid. At 22 years of age, he knows that this is his moment. It has been difficult for him to adapt to the team since joining from Benfica, but he is fully integrated and eager to kick on this season. The forward feels loved by both the fans and the club and started the new La Liga season with a hat-trick of assists against Getafe.
João Félix’s first game this summer came against Manchester United in a friendly match in Oslo, Norway, where the Portuguese displayed all his talent to give Simeone’s side the victory against Erik ten Hag’s team.
