Atlético Madrid and Wolves are set to continue talks regarding the transfer of Felipe, report Marca.
As it was communicated in early December, Felipe has been struggling for minutes under Diego Simeone and the two sides have been trying to negotiate a deal that would see the 33-year-old join Wolves this January.
However, while both clubs are close to reaching an agreement, the English outfit are unable to convince the Brazilian defender to accept the offer on the table.
Los Colchoneros are keen to offload Felipe this month, as his sale would mean that they can formally approach Leicester City in order to secure the services of Çağlar Söyüncü.
Wolves have already signed Matheus Cunha earlier this transfer window from the Spanish capital, and Julen Lopetegui is eager to continue strengthening his side with players from Europe’s best clubs in order to help his side fight their relegation battle in the Premier League.
