Atlético Madrid and Manchester United enter negotiations over João Félix

Altético Madrid and Manchester United have started talks regarding the transfer of João Félix, report AS.

The Premier League side are in the market for a new striker following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of last year.

Félix fell out with Diego Simeone earlier this season, prompting Atlético to put the Portuguese forward up for sale.

Earlier this month it was communicated that United are keen to bring Félix to England, and the two clubs have entered negotiations regarding a possible transfer this January.

It is believed that the Red Devils have submitted an offer worth €3.4m to secure the services of the 23-year-old until the end of the season. However, Los Colchoneros have placed a €10m loan-deal price on Félix.

The two parties are set to continue negotiations next week. Arsenal are also interested in signing Félix as Gabriel Jesus will be sidelined until at least the end of February.
