Ismail Jakobs (25) looks set to complete his move from AS Monaco to Galatasaray after an agreement was reached between the two clubs, as the Principality club’s CEO confirmed.
Jakobs had started Monaco’s first two games of the season, however, he is now on the verge of a departure. “It’s an ongoing situation,” began Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro in a post-match mixed zone interview, attended by Get French Football News.
“We only make things official when they are finished and signed. Jakobs is supposed to go there (Galatasaray) for a medical and the final bureaucratic steps. Potentially we can make it official in the coming days. I don’t know if he is [already in Turkey] but we authorised it yesterday when the details were sorted between both clubs,” added Scuro.
In his place, it was Kassoum Ouattara that started against RC Lens, whilst Monaco also have Caio Henrique at their disposal.
