Sources consider it only a matter of time before Viktor Gyokeres leaves Sporting Lisbon, despite his club holding out for more money.
CaughtOffside have consulted numerous high-up figures in the agents industry, and have been told that Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping informed on Gyokeres’ situation.
The Sweden international has mostly been a top target for Arsenal and Man Utd this summer, but it’s understood that other elite clubs have also been asked to be kept in the loop regarding his future.
Gyokeres has scored 97 goals in 102 games in his two years at Sporting, and it has seemed inevitable for a while now that he would soon move to a more competitive league.
Sporting not backing down on Gyokeres asking price

Sources have informed CaughtOffside that Sporting are adamant they won’t back down on their €80m valuation for Gyokeres.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old’s wage demands on a five-year contract mean he could cost a package totalling €130m.
Needless to say, this is a hugely significant outlay for any club to pay, and it remains to be seen if the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd or anyone else will be ready to take that kind of gamble.
Even if Gyokeres has been superb during his time in Portugal, it’s hard to know for sure if he could score at anything like that rate in the Premier League.
Could Gyokeres shine for the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool?
Gyokeres looks like he could be just what Arsenal are looking for up front, as they don’t really need a striker scoring 40-50 goals a season.
If Gyokeres could net something close to 25 per year that would be an improvement on what they currently have.
Liverpool, meanwhile, might also benefit from someone like that coming in as it surely wouldn’t take much for him to be an upgrade on the unconvincing Darwin Nunez.
