Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens.
The Gunners failed to add any new players in the winter transfer window, but they are expected to be active this summer.
Arsenal are impressed with the England Under-21 international who has emerged as a top talent in Europe this season.
The ‘unstoppable’ 20-year-old has scored 11 goals and created five assists in 33 appearances across all competitions this term.
However, the Londoners will have to fork out a premium fee to sign him.
According to BILD, Dortmund will demand a fee in the region of £83 million for their prized asset.
Gittens’ current contract does not expire until 2028, which means the Bundesliga giants are in a good negotiating position.
Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the winger, but a move to Arsenal might be more appealing for Gittens.
They will likely be able to offer him Champions League football as they are now six points above Nottingham Forest in second place in the table.
The Gunners are competing with Liverpool for the Premier League title this term.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are languishing in 12th in the standings, despite Sunday’s 1-0 win over Manchester United.
Chelsea made an impressive start to the campaign under Enzo Maresca, but their form has dipped in recent months.
Given their patchy form, they may finish outside the top four this season.
