Arsenal are leading the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko this summer, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed.
The Gunners are believed to be in concrete talks to land the Slovenia international and are, so far, the only club in direct negotiations with Leipzig over a deal for Sesko.
While Manchester United have shown interest in the 22-year-old as well, Plettenberg claims the Red Devils are yet to engage in club-to-club talks amid their pursuit of Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
Arsenal have reportedly gathered extensive information on Sesko’s exit terms, with sporting director Andrea Berta aware of his release clause and potential payment structures.

In talks with RB Leipzig over a summer move
Plettenberg, writing on X, has revealed that Sesko is now the subject of club-to-club talks between Arsenal and Leipzig:
Sesko was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates last summer, before he penned a new five-year deal with the German club, running until June 2028.
Twelve months later, the Slovenia international is expected to depart after another promising Bundesliga campaign, with 13 goals and five assists in 33 appearances.
The ‘mind-blowing’ 22-year-old striker is believed to be one of the few centre-forward options on Arsenal’s shortlist, alongside Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres and Eintracht Frankfurt ace Hugo Ekitike.
The Gunners are expected to announce their first summer arrival soon, as Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi is set to join on a long-term deal.
